Terms
Hiring Protractors, LLC. to shovel your roof constitutes full
understanding and agreement of these terms.
All Roof Shoveling customers are required to view these terms whether
printed or web
based. Anyone may freely request a printed copy of these
terms.
These terms may be changed or modified at any time with or without
notice. Customer bares the responsibility of knowing and
understanding these terms as they govern the use of our Roof Shoveling
services.
These terms are here to help you understand what to expect when
purchasing our Roof Shoveling services.
1. Many of our estimates are given over the phone without us seeing the
project. Customer agrees that the estimated cost is not a Quote.
The
cost
of our services is never known until the services are done being
rendered. Only then will anyone know what the exact cost is.
It is our goal to come as close to the estimated cost as
possible. If you forget to tell us everything about your roof
upfront (which is pretty likely) we may need to work harder and or
longer than normal.
2. Some of our estimates will be provided after a drive by or basic
visual study. These forms of estimating are not quotes.
Customer agrees that the estimated cost is not a Quote. The

of our services is never known until the services are done being
rendered. Only then will anyone know what the exact cost is.
It is our goal to come as close to the estimated cost as

upfront (which is pretty likely) we may need to work harder and or

3. Price is adjusted considering:
(roof pitch + roof hieght + roof size + snow depth avg. + snow
type+special conditions)
We need to know if the roof pitch is over 6/12 for
safety reasons.
We
may have to use safety gear on roofs over one story and steeper than 6
pitch. This increases the total cost of project.
We need to know the size of the roof to determine the square footage.
We calculate a cost per square foot and that cost is melded
with the remaining cost attributes. If we are told the roof
is 26 x 32, we assume you mean the foundation size of the home is 26 x
32. Now add overhang at 1.8 x 116, thats another 208 square
feet. Now add the pitch differential of 5%. Your
old square footage was 832 sqft. The new total is 1092 sqft.
A difference of 260 sqft, an area equal to a good sized
master bedroom. Now think if you had to shovel 3.5 feet of
snow from an area that big.
3. Customer is solely responsible for any and all damage and repair to
roof. We are providing a service to remove snow and ice from
your
roof. We have no control over whether a shingle sticks to ice
build up. It is common for shingles to break and or
completely
come off during snow and ice removal.
4. If we happen to (hopefully this never happens) fall through your
roof
it is to be assumed that the cause of failure is the snow that was on
your roof prior to the start of our work.
5. Every house is
different to some degree and we are not responsible for any damage from
falling snow and ice. It
is common for very large (3+ ft.
Diameter) pieces, weighing over 100 lbs. to fall from roof.
Falling snow and ice can cause damage to windows, siding,
planters, and just about anything in the fall area. Large
pieces
may roll further than expected. Home Owner shall assume full
responsibility to your personal safety by staying clear of the work
area. We assume full responsibility for our
personal safety.
We should ask you these questions and you should be ready to answer
them.
1.One or more stories?
2.What is the pitch? This is the steepness. A doublewide has
a 4
pitch, a typical ranch has a 6 pitch. A 12 pitch is a 45
degree
angle.
3.Do you want any extra work done? We are being hired to
remove
snow from your roof. We do offer clean up from drives and
walks
and steps for an additional fee.
4.Do you want to be present when we perform the service to your roof?
We want you to be comfortable and there is no need for you to
be
home. Of course you are always welcome to be home while we perform the
service.
5.Any other questions that come up by either you or us.
Customer agrees not to bring any claims of any type against
Protractors, LLC. or any of its subcontractors, owners, members,
managers, affiliates, insurance carriers or insurance companies, for
damage or injury of any type to property or person.
These are simple terms and if you feel that they disqualify us from
eligibility to help you, then we will gladly rebuild your roof when it
fails.
Approx. Cost $30,000.00
